After a summer of cottage deconstruction, we are calling a seasonal moratorium on big, messy projects. Now we can cozy in, and get the place ready for crisp and lovely weekend retreats.
Amongst the big accomplishments: the wood stove is in. Now we just have to gather the firewood!
So after putting a new wood stove in the cabin, we had to remove the old gas chimney. We found out that it is much heavier than it looks. With me pushing up from the inside and Kat pulling up from the roof, we finally managed to get that sucker down!
